Ex-Sunshine manager, Kennedy Boboye, has rejoined Awka United till the end of the season.

The two-time winner of Nigerian Premier Football League got the managerial deal two months after quitting sunshine stars.

The 2021 NPFL champions announced the contract deal on monday confirming rumors ,via X : “We have agreed a mid-season managerial contract with coach Kennedy Boboye “.

Boboye who won the NPFL title with Awka united in 2021, is set to begin work with the team later this week.

The Ondo born will replace Mohammed Babaganaru who vacated the post in December, leaving the club wallowing in relegation zone.

The promise keepers currently sits in the 19th place on the league table, they’ve managed to win 5 games, drawn 4 and lost 10.

The Ondo born is among the four managers that left their jobs in the first half of the season.

He has done it before, eyes are on Boboye to remove the club( Awka United )from the miry clay.
