News Bureau 247, is a Nigerian newspaper based in Akure, Ondo State with a vision to help strengthen Nigeria’s democracy, advance the socio-economic wellbeing and rights of the people, advocate best practices, good governance, transparency and human rights, in line with the values expected of a modern democratic state.
Publishers of the newspaper are convinced that its contribution can help forge new communities, pursue political and social agenda in support of a better society, and help build visions of hope and resistance.
The organisation, founded in January 2021, is determined to offer the kind of journalism that would provide a direction for content consumers and help them make informed choices that will help them to be good citizens who are effectively participating in the political and economic activities in the country.
We hope to begin this task using the online medium and hopefully would be able to publish through other genres of the media in the near future, with the aim of appealing to all classes of the populace.
