Hon. Bamidele Olubunmi Ayodele, the 2023 House of Assembly candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Ifedore constituency, has announced his resignation from the party.
Hon. Ayodele said he was moving his political structure to another political party where he could pursue the interest of his people in Ifedore.
In a letter addressed to the Ijare Ward 1 Chairman, Hon. Ayodele (popularly known as BOA) cited deep-seated, irreconcilable differences among the party’s top leadership and a regrettable loss of focus regarding the party’s primary objectives.
Speaking on the decision, Hon. Ayodele stated: “My commitment has always been to the people of Ifedore. When the platform I am on no longer aligns with the progress of my constituents due to internal friction and a lack of direction, I must take a stand. This exit is necessary to remain true to my principles and the people who believe in our vision.”
Hon. Ayodele thanked his loyal supporters and clarified that his dedication to the development of Ijare and Ifedore remains unshaken.
His future political direction will be communicated to his followers and stakeholders in due course.
Indications however, are that Hon. Ayodele has moved to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
A formal reception is being planned by the leadership of the ruling party at a yet- to- be scheduled date.
