Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali could miss the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations tournament due to ankle injury.

The disturbing news was revealed by the Chippa United Coach Vusimuzi Vilakali.

The Super Eagles’ prolific shot stopper is going through turbulent moment of his career as he faces both an ankle problem and a worsening hand injury that might require surgery eventually.

Chippa United Coach Vilakazi confirmed that the Super Eagles goalkeeper carrying out his goalkeeping duties while enduring pain for months ,before aggravating the issue in Morocco.

This unfortunate news is coming shortly after the announcement of retirement from Super Eagles Captain Williams Troost-Ekong,this would definitely be a course of worry from Nigerians who are still nursing to their wounds from the World Cup elimination.

Nigeria is set to hit the ground running as they would face Tanzania on the 23rd of December as Tunisia and Uganda clash follows.
