The Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande has called on Nigerians to seek God’s intervention for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, urging collective prayers for national peace, unity, and progress.
The Minister made the appeal on Saturday at a special praise and worship crusade organised at the International Culture and Event Center (The DOME), Akure, the Ondo State capital. The event, themed “An Evening of Praise and Worship” drew a large gathering of youths, women, political leaders, and traditional rulers, including His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure Kingdom.
Speaking at the well-attended program, Olawande said beyond the policies and programs being rolled out by the Tinubu administration, divine guidance and prayers from citizens remain crucial for the fulfillment of the President’s vision for Nigeria.
He noted that the Ministry of Youth Development has been implementing several capacity-building and empowerment initiatives targeted at unlocking the potential of Nigerian youths, adding that faith-based engagements such as the crusade also serve as a platform to foster hope and unity among citizens.
“We must keep praying for our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and for Nigeria,” the Minister said. “No government can succeed without divine wisdom. We believe God for a new Nigeria—one filled with peace, progress, and prosperity.”
The event featured soul-lifting performances by renowned gospel artistes, including Tope Alabi and BBO, whose ministrations thrilled the audience and inspired moments of intense worship. Testimonies were shared by attendees who claimed to have experienced spiritual upliftment and divine encounters during the praise session.
Olawande expressed deep appreciation to participants for showing love and solidarity with President Tinubu’s vision and particularly thanked the Deji of Akure for his unflinching support for both his office and the Federal Government.
He described Oba Aladetoyinbo as a pillar of encouragement who has consistently worked to bridge understanding between government policies and the people.
The Minister reiterated his commitment to continue mobilizing the youth population in support of national development, saying that faith, unity, and patriotism remain the foundation for sustainable transformation in Nigeria.
