Victor Osimhen delivered another masterclass performance in Istanbul as Galatasaray came from behind to defeat Goztepe 3–1 and extend their unbeaten run in the Super Lig to seven matches.
The game which was held at the RAMS Park, immediately heated up with intensity as Efkan Bekiroglu did not cease to take the goal scoring opportunity from a rebound to give Goztepe a sixth-minute lead.
Galatasaray almost got a penalty as Osimhen went down in the 18 yard box but VAR turned down the Galatasaray opportunity to equalize giving the play on verdict.
The Nigerian forward didn’t relent on his thirst for goals , Osimhen dribbled past Goztepe defenders to get an equalizer for his team, his goal was also reassessed by VAR and eventually the goal stood.
Osimhen’s equalizer strengthened the teams energy as the striker launched another attack on Goztepe goalpost but was saved.
The intensity put in by the Galatasaray team heightened as Malcom Bokele of Goztepe made a silly tackle and got sent off.
Gabriel Sara of Galatasaray also had a share of the cake as he completed the comeback scoring to make it 2-1 in favour of Galatasaray.
Mauro Icardi also had a share in the party sealing the win.
The Nigerian striker got substituted in the 86th minute. Osimhen’ has scored nine times for both club and country, he remains a vital component of Galatasaray’s attack this season.
Galatasaray sit six points clear on the super lig table. The Super lig defending Champions have Trabzonspor on their next fixture, where Osimhen will go up against his Nigerian compatriot Paul Onuachu and as well as the champions league clash with Ajax.
