The Super Falcons are set to commence training sessions on Monday in Lome the capital city of Togo, ahead of the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying fixtures.
Super Falcons will have their first leg clash against Benin Rep girls, which is set for Friday .
Super Falcons head coach Justin Madugu, said the team would begin training sessions in Lome on Monday afternoon as they prepare for their encounter with the Benin senior women’s team at 25,000 – capacity at the Stade de kegue on Friday.
Asisat Oshoala, six-time African Player of the Year was named among the early birds in the Super Falcons’ Lome camp, alongside new invitees, Joy omewa, Turkey based defender, Tosin Demehin, China based forward Folashade ijamilusi and home based goalkeeper Anderlin Mgbechi, defenders Blessing llivieda and Miracle Usani, attacker, Kafayat Mafisere and midfielder, Taiwo Afolabi.
The west African neighbors are set to clash in a final qualifying fixture for the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations championship hosted by Morocco, which also will serve as Africa’s qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, to be hosted by Brazil.
The clash is scheduled for 3pm Togo time (4pm Nigerian time).
The second leg game is slated for the Mko Abiola Sports Complex, Abeokuta on Tuesday, 28th October 2025.
Ngum Fatou of Gambia has been picked by the Confederation of African Football as the referee to officiate Fridays match, Mauritanians Mariem Chedad and Handsome Houleye as assistant referees 1 and 2 respectively, while Gambian Isatou Touray will serve as the fourth official.
Halimatou Hamidou from Niger Republic will be commissioner, while Martha Nyekanyeka from Malawi will be in the role of referee assessor.
