A gathering of legally independent accounting firms in Africa is holding in Lagos, with the objective of providing world-class analysis and clear solutions in Assurance, Advisory, Taxation and Business Services for companies around the globe.
The conference which began on Monday, April 28, and being put together by PKG Nigeria, a leading accounting firms, will continue until May 3 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island in Lagos.
Participants are drawn from UK, South Africa, SA, Kenya, Namibia, Ethiopia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria and other nations.
A media statement released on Monday and signed by PKF Nigeria’s Managing Director, Taju Akande, said, “ Nigeria is delighted to be hosting this annual gathering of the PKF international network bound together by a shared commitment to quality, integrity and the creation of clarity in a complex regulatory environment.
“ The key objective is to foster innovation, growth and collaboration in the PKF Africa Region with the conference serving as a platform for training, knowledge sharing and networking for the 42 member firms of our Africa professional practice.”
Also expected at the six day event are PKF’s Global CEO Theo Vermaak, Professor Kila, Director Common Wealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies, Omotola Bamigbaye – Elatuyi, Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications President, Institute of Chartered Accountants, President, Chartered Institute of Taxation, Executive Secretary, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
Established since 1952, PKF Nigeria is a memeber of the global network of over 500 offices, member firms operating in 150 countries across five regions with over 200, 000 professionals.
The firm hosted over 400 guests in Porto from 23 to 27 October 2023 during its annual Global Gathering.
The 2023 editions has 85 inspiring sessions, five fun-fuelled dinners, four sightseeing tours and countless collaborative conversations.
In 2024 the event was held in Seoul from 11 to 15 November. It was an action-packed agenda, which provided something for everyone at the event.
The 2024 conference offered 51 thought-provoking agenda sessions, five delightful dinners, four sightseeing tours, two PKF Fun Runs, one yoga class and infinite collaborative conversations.
