Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Olusola Oke, has warned party supporters against falling for the deceit of politicians who seek to buy their votes after having abandoned them in times of need.

Okitipupa, the headquarters of Ondo South Senatorial district of the state, as well as other parts of the district.

Party supporters and leaders from units and wards converged on Idepe -Okitipupa town hall to pledge their support.

Bode Ikulala, the APC chairman of the local government, said Oke is their own and he deserves to be honoured with their votes.

“Oke has always been part of us; he resides with us and we will give him our votes, to achieve the common goal,” jr said.

While responding, Chief Oke appreciated all the executive members of the party from the local government, and urged them never to be deceived by politicians who were not around them years back, but now throwing up money to buy their conscience.

“I appreciate you all for the gesture and love. Be guided and never be deceived by politicians who were not with you during your suffering in the past, but now coming to buy your votes,” he said.

Danceable melodies from different groups were rendered to entertain the aspirant and other visitors. Chief Olusola Oke similarly exhibited his talent as a singer, as reflected in the various Ikale songs he sang at the event to entertain, educate and mobilise the audience.

Also, at  Bolounduro, the headquarters of Ondo East local government, the civic center was packed-full with the people breaking to huge jubilation, welcoming the notable aspirant with very loud ovation.

Unit, ward and local government leaders of the APC in the local government pledged their support to Oke in the forthcoming primary election, and assured him of victory at the end of the day.

The party leaders at the town hall meeting, who spoke with our reporter said, they are now determined to follow Oke, unlike before when no decision was taken in that regard.
