The Association of Science Laboratory Technologist of Nigeria (ASLTON) FUTA branch has elected new officers to pilot it’s affairs in the next three years.

The election was held on Thursday at the university’s campus.

In their remarks, the ASLTON State President, Fesobi Moyinoluwa and South-West Secretary Bakare Gideon, congratulated the elected officers and charged them to uphold the tenets of the association.

The outgoing President, Wahab Adepoju. promised to work with the newly elected officers to achieve their goals.

The newly elected branch President, Michael Ojuola lauded the electoral officers led by Dr. Abe Taiwo, for a job well done, promising to contribute his own quota to the advancement of the Association from local to National level.

He hoped that the government would look the way of Laboratory Technologist/Scientist providing support with adequate funding to combat ever increasing environmental pollutions and disease such as COVID and its variants that is ravaging the nation.

He also promised to ensure that members imbibed the culture of best practices in their profession.

Other members of the executives are: Ayodele Adeolu, Vice-president; Ogunsuyi Tolulope, Secretary; Adedayo Tolulope,Treasurer; Ola-Salawu Bukola, Financial Secretary; Ibeto Augustina, P.R.O. and Olanrewaju Johnson, Auditor.

The newly elected executive has a tenure of three years.
