The lifeless body of Major Christopher Datong, who was abducted early Tuesday August 24 at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Afaka in Kaduna State has been found.
The bandits reportedly demanded a random on N200million from the military authorities, even though there were indications of further negotiations.
Major Danyong’s body was said to have been found on Tuesday evening.
Datong was from Pankshin in Plateau state and was born 4 January, 1978.
The ‘Bandits’ had also killed two other officers during the invasion.
The development is coming even as the Defence headquarters had vowed the arrest the bandits and bring them to book.
A joint operation of the security forces was said to have been mobilized earlier on Tuesday to rescue the soldier.
The latest attest is the among the most daring incursion of the bandits on military facilities in recent times.
