The management of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, in Edo State, has released its guidelines for the conduct of the second semester examinations.

A statement by the Deputy Registrar, Information, Edward Alhevba, on Thursday, said students and invigilators must have their face mask properly worn in line with the Covid-19 prevention protocols.

“Every invigilator is expected to comply with the following guidelines, which are to be leading examples,” the statement said.
“The ‘o facemask no entry’ rule shall be strictly enforced for both staff and students.”

Other guidelines include ban on mobile phones or other electronic devices as they would be seized if brought to the exam halls.

Gathering of students around the university library has also been stopped.

“Every student having CBE shall wait in his/her faculty for signals,” the statement further said.

“They shall be informed 30 minutes before the commencement of the CBE to move to the library.

“A point has been designated about 150m from the library where students should start queuing up.

“Only staff vehicles would be allowed beyond the queuing up point. Any staff conveying students in their vehicles must drop the students off before driving through the queuing point.”

According to the Nigreriia Centre for Disease Control(NCDC), iNigeria has recorded 176,557 confirmed cases of the infection.
Of that figure, 165323 cases have been discharged and 2178 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

Edo State has recorded 185 deaths from the virus of a total of 4,961 confirmed cases.

Whereas 4,753 have been treated and discharged, 23 are still on admission receiving medical attention.
